Tea Farm Tour/Tastings

We are excited to announce the debut of two new kinds of tea farm tours!

Here at Ancient Leaf Tea, we are adding tour arrivals and departures to our Farmstand at Onomea Bay. As you pull onto the farm you will be wowed by the lush green rainforest, our beautiful views of the Hanawï Stream, and our brand-new storefront nestled in the shadows of the palms!

For our Drive-up tours, you'll have the opportunity to ride up our cane road in a covered UTV with one of our guides as they narrate the many sights of our scenic farm. All tours will walk portions of the property learning about various tropical fruits, flowers, botanicals, and tea. This is an opportunity to experience the sights and scents of a working tea farm up close and photos are encouraged. 

Tour 1: The Drive-up Farm Tour -- 1 hour -- BOOK BY CALL/TEXT ($41/Adult, $21/Child)

In addition to an ATV tour of our beautiful working farm, you will also receive your choice of one hot or iced tea, or a take-home sample tea sachet. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to see the farm up close and learn more about what we do!

Tour 2: The Tea Farm Tour & Tasting -- 2 hours -- ($79/Adult, $39/Child)

Beginning at the top of our farm instead of taking the UTV, this package includes an expanded version of our tea farm tour along with the opportunity to sit beneath our covered lanai for a guided tea tasting with our farm's owner and tea expert, Susan! You will get to taste four different teas and one featured fruit/pastry/chocolate pairing while talking story and taking in gorgeous ocean views from the shaded comfort of our patio. This tour is perfect for tea aficionados and anyone who's looking to take a deeper dive into the world of tea with us!

Tour 3: The Connoisseur Tour -- 2.5 hours -- ($99/Adult, $59/Child)

This special tour includes everything from Tours 1 & 2, plus an additional tea, guided instructions for tasting with the special lidded teacup known as a Gaiwan, and your very own Gaiwan to take home! This is the ultimate tour for the tea lover in your life, and showcases the very best of what our farm has to offer.

Note: Due to the costs of operation, our tour prices are based on a minimum party size of 4. If your party has less than 4 people and nobody else is booked for that slot, we will notify you with the following options: reschedule for a different time slot, split the cost difference with us to upgrade to a private tour, or receive a full refund for your tickets.

Reminders for the Tours: Because we are located in the rainforest, our tours operate rain or shine. We will provide large umbrellas for the walking portion of the tour, but please wear comfortable footwear and dress in layers!

The tasting portion of the tour is experienced overlooking the ocean on an open air covered lanai. When it's whale 🐋 time on the Big Island, many guests have experienced an extra special sighting while sipping tea.
